INGREDIENTS
1 pie crust sheet
½ chopped onion
1 cup white button mushrooms
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 bunch of spinach
4 eggs
¾ cup Táche
1 cup of grated Gruyere cheese
½ cup of gouda cheese
Salt and pepper
Hot sauce (optional)
How to make the quiche recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 400F and add the pie crust to a pie plate
- Meanwhile, pan fry the mushrooms and onions in butter or olive oil until brown
- Boil a pot of water and place the spinach in a strainer in the sink. Pour the boiling water over the spinach, once cooled squeeze out all of the water with a dish towel
- To a bowl, add the eggs and Táche and whisk to combine
- Then add the pan fried mushrooms and onions, spinach, cheeses, and salt and pepper
- Bake the pie crust at 400F for 10 minutes
- Pour the egg mixture into the baked pie and bake for another 30 minutes
- Let it cool slightly and then serve with hot sauce (optional)
