We believe in a world of happy mediums. In creaminess that comforts but never burdens. In versatility that has the strength to stand alone. In taste that demands cravings but never remorse. In a sip from a carton, a bite from a spoon or a slurp from a straw. A natural yet sweet treat. A smooth yet frothy solution. A choice that has everything except compromise. A reason to look forward to milk again.
More than a crunchy bite. Our love of pistachios goes beyond their natural form. Grown on one of the oldest flowering nut trees and consumed for over 9,000 years (even by the Queen of Sheba herself), pistachios are rich in flavor, vitamins and antioxidants. A complete source of protein and more environmentally friendly than neighboring nuts, our pistachios are sourced from fourth generation family farmers.
Nutrition is everything, but so is taste. We source our pistachios specifically for their rich flavor profile. A little nutty and a little sweet to give Táche its distinctly delicious taste. We focus on simple ingredients keeping Táche free from any added oils unlike other oat and alt-milk alternatives. Understated enough to be an ideal coffee, smoothie, and baking companion, tasty enough to enjoy on its own.
Better for you, better for the environment. According to research by UNESCO, it requires about 97 gallons of water to grow one ounce of almonds with most grown in drought-stricken California. Pistachios are different. Requiring about 75% less water to produce the exact same amount of pistachios, Táche is deliciously sustainable. With a shelf life of 12 months and recyclable packaging, we aim to be environmentally friendly at every turn.
As a first-generation Iranian-American, pistachios were a mainstay in Roxana Saidi’s home growing up. These nuts were her favorite not only for their cultural significance in Middle Eastern homes but also for their numerous health benefits and delicious depth of flavor.
In 2015, Roxana started making pistachio milk at home as an alternative to almond milk, which was depleting her native California of water during its worst drought on record. Elated to discover pistachios require significantly less water than almonds, Roxana set out to find the most flavorful pistachios in the world.
Guided by her desire to create a more sustainable, delicious alt-milk without any of the unhealthy added oil of oat, this five-year journey led her to launch Táche in 2020.
